The
First European University Women's Volleyball Championship
has come to the end with the triumph of Yugoslav team.
This team won maximum number of victories.
Vesna
Čitaković, the captain of the Yugoslav team, was
declared the best player of the championship, and
Alisa Šekeliova, the Slovak player the best technician.
The
victor team won the Cup and second and third teams won
medals and diplomas. They were awarded by Dinos Pavlou,
delegate EUSA and Miroslav Martić, president
of the Organising committee.
In
the honor of the best teams the three flags were raised
and the anthem of the Championship was played.
In
the Closing Ceremony of the Championship Dinos Pavlou,
delegate of EUSA, said: I feel very privileged to represent
EUSA in this Championship in your town because you made
me feel at home. Won when the Championship comes to
its end and I will leave you I know that I have many
friends left behind. I will always remember you with
the best memories.
During
my stay here I witnessed an excellent preparation of
the Championship in all respects and the facilities
are of the best manner. The hospitality you offered
not only to the officials but also to all the members
of the various delegations exceeded all our expectations.
I wish you all success in the development of University
sports.
Miroslav
Martić, President of the Organising Committee, gave
the flag of the championship to Mr. Dinos Pavlou and
and declared the championship closed with the words:
We did our best to organize successfully this first
European University Women's Volleyball Championship.
I hope that all of you will remember our town Užice
and our country.

Prvi
evropski univerzitetski ženski univerzitetski šampionat
Užice 2001. završen je trijumfom reprezentacije Jugoslavije
. Ova selekcija je do šampionskog trona došla ostvarivši
pet maksimalnih pobeda .
Vesna
Čitaković, kapiten jugoslovenske selekcije, proglašena
je za najbolju odbojkašicu šampionata, a najbolji tehničar
je Alisa Šekeliova iz selekcije Slovačke.
Pobedniku
šampionata pripao je pehar, a prvoplasiranim selekcijama
uručene su medalje i diplome. Priznanja su uručili delegat
EUSA Dinos Pavlu i Miroslav Martić, predsednik
Organizacionog komiteta.
U
čast najboljih podignute su zastave tri prvoplasirane
ekipe, uz intoniranje himne šampionata.
Na
ceremoniji zatvaranja šampionata Dinos Pavlu, delegat
EUSA, pored ostalog je rekao: Osećam se veoma počastvovanim
što predstavljam EUSA na ovom šampionatu u vašem gradu.
Sada kada se šampionat približava kraju znam da za sobom
ostavljam mnogo prijatelja. Uverio sam se da je organizacija
na najvišem nivou u svakom pogledu. Gostoprimstvo koje
ste nam ukazali, ne samo zvaničnicima, već i svim članovima
različitih delegacija, premašilo je sva naša očekivanja.
Hvala Užicu, hvala Jugoslaviji. Želim vam uspeha u razvoju
univerzitetskog sporta.
Miroslav
Martić, predsednik Organizacionog komiteta, predao
je zastavu šampionata gospodinu Dinosu, i proglašavajući
šampionat zatvorenim rekao: Učinili smo sve da uspešno
organizujemo šampionat. Nadam se da će vam Užice ostati
u lepoj uspomeni.
